The Manitoba Law Foundation is excited to announce that it has established a Special Granting Initiative to support innovative and/or collaborative projects that have the goal of achieving a significant impact in enhancing justice and access to justice in Manitoba.
The Foundation has set aside $1,500,000 for the Special Granting Initiative and is seeking applications from existing, past and potential new grantees for projects of all sizes, big or small. Projects must be time-limited but can last for up to 3 years, and the Foundation is particularly interested in receiving innovative and/or collaborative proposals that meet needs in the following areas:
- Legal services for rural and remote areas of Manitoba
- Legal services that specifically support Indigenous issues and communities
- Supporting delivery of legal support services by intermediaries and advocates
- French language legal services and supports
The Foundation will consider proposals in areas other than those listed above as long as they fall within the mandate of the Foundation.
The deadline for application is Monday, January 13, 2020 at 4 p.m. For more details, please see the Special Granting Initiative page.
